SuperAttic customers rave about the results!

"The second floor of my home was always hot in the summer and cold and drafty in the winter.

All that has changed and both my furnace and air conditioning systems don't run nearly as much; I know because I pay attention to these things. SuperAttic is amazing" - Ralph C.

How the SuperAttic System works

Insulating and sealing an attic with our attic insulation system

Soffits are sealed and roof deck is covered with SilverGlo foam board insulation panels.

Blowing cellulose into the attic is a common attic insulation technique that will reduce energy losses, but gaps around recessed light fixtures, HVAC components and attic flooring can make this method less effective.

It's critical to prevent air from leaking into the attic, and to insulate the attic floor, and seal and insulate ducts to prevent issues with comfort and energy loss. With SuperAttic, your attic becomes part of the conditioned space of your home. The air and insulation boundaries are on the bottom of the roof instead of the attic floor.

SuperAttic uses proprietary SilverGlo™ expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam insulation board infused with graphite and a radiant barrier on both sides. The graphite particles increase the insulation value by 24% over standard EPS foam board. The 4-inch-thick insulation panels are installed on the underside of your roof deck to allow roof ventilation without letting exterior air into your attic space.

Find out if SuperAttic is right for your home

The SuperAttic system can help many homeowners save energy and cut heating and cooling expenses. But it's more suitable for some attics than for others. To find out if a SuperAttic system makes sense for your house, see how many of the following statements are true.

  • I'd like to upgrade attic insulation levels so that I can save energy and money, and also make my house more comfortable.
  • I have ductwork and other HVAC equipment (like air handlers) in my attic.
  • My attic is framed with rafters and a ridge board, not with roof trusses.
  • Parts of my attic are floored.
  • I'd like to use some of my attic space for storage.
  • I'm concerned about ice dams forming along the eaves of my roof in wintertime.

If more than two of the statements above apply to you and your house, a SuperAttic system might be the ideal attic solution.
